Due to lack of awareness, many rape or violence crimes against women in India are not reported (Victims of Violence, 6). These women are forced to keep silent. This picture explains that these criminals that hurt these women should be punished. And what makes it worse is that many of the officials that are handling the cases have rape charges against them (Biswas,1). So of course they would take a long time in order to settle these cases because they don't see them as important, nor do they see these women as important. We have to speak up for these women. Many campaigns have been launched in order to help these women. Laws have been promised but none of these laws have been enforced. As many women in India protest about their rights, they are often beaten and put in prison. This is very unfair! why are we continuing to allow these women to be in the dark? We have to stand up and do something. If we continue to deny women in India their rights, India will not become as developed as it should. Which means the world will not be fully developed either.
